Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Portville as follows:
The Local Law No. One of the year 1985 for the Town of Portville entitled "Providing for the
Administration and Enforcement of the New York State Fire Prevention and Building Code" be
amended as follows:
SECTION 3 shall be amended to provide the following fee schedule:
Fees for Building permit and Certificate of Occupancy shall be based upon construction costs in
accordance with the following standard:
Up to $2,000.00 in construction costs............................................................$35.00
$2,001.00 to $25,000.00 in construction costs..............................................$35.00 for the first
$2,000.00 plus $2.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
$25,001.00 to $50,000.00 in construction costs............................................$82.00 for the first
$25,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
$50,001.00 to $100,000.00 in construction costs..........................................$107.00 for the first
$50,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
$100,001.00 to $500,000.00 in construction costs........................................$157.00 for the first
$100,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
$500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00 in construction costs.....................................$557.00 for the first
$500,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
$1,000,001.00 to $5,000,000.00 in construction costs..................................$1,057.00 for the first
$1,000,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.

All inspection required for Mobile Home installations regardless of the
cost of installation..........................................................................................$45.00
Application for inspections of mobile home (tie downs, anchoring only)
on existing site...............................................................................................$15.00
Installation of swimming pools (including electric).........................................$45.00
Septic System - Installation inspection with dwelling inspection...................$45.00
Without dwelling inspection...........................................................................$45.00
Renewing Permits: In the event that a building permit must be renewed, a fee equal to 50% of the
original building permit fee will be charged prior to re-issuance of the permit.
OTHER INSPECTIONS AND FEES RELATED TO BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
Any inspection requested outside of normal business hours will be billed at the rate of $15.00 per
hour (minimum charge of 2 hours) in addition to permit fee.
In the event that an application for a building permit is not approved, the application shall be entitled
to a refund of 50% of the fee paid, provided no work has commenced. If work has commenced
and the application is not approved, the fees paid shall not be refunded.
