Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Portville as follows:
The Local Law No. One of the year 1985 for the Town of Portville entitled "Providing for the
Administration and Enforcement of the New York State Fire Prevention and Building Code" be
amended as follows:
SECTION 6 (b) shall provide that: all periodic inspections shall be in compliance with the New York
State Fire Prevention and Building Code as set forth in Part 444 of the New York State Rules and
Regulations for the administration and enforcement of the New York State Fire Prevention and
Building Code as amended from time to time.
SECTION 3 shall be amended to provide the following fee:
Fees for Building permit and Certificate of Occupancy shall be based upon construction costs in
accordance with the following standard:
Up to $500.00 in construction costs...............................................................no charge
$501.00 to $2,000.00 in construction costs...................................................$25.00
$2,001.00 to $25,000.00 in construction costs..............................................$25.00 for the first
$2,000.00. Plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
$25,001.00 to $50,000.00 in construction costs............................................$72.00 for the first
$2,500.00. Plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
Over $50,000.00 in construction costs..........................................................$97.00 for the first
$50,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
